The Y Lan Retreat is a room of deliberate quietude — unembellished, unassertive — where every detail is carefully restrained to serve a single purpose: to create a space that is serene, introspective, and deeply feminine in the most understated way.
Inspired by the archetype of a woman of intellect and inner strength — where “Y” represents the mind, the depth of thought; and “Lan” symbolizes grace, quiet resilience, and endurance — the room is a tribute to unspoken feminine power and the intentional beauty of stillness.
Light plays a vital role in the design. Layers of sheer curtains capture the morning sun, making the room feel as though it breathes with nature. A large glass door opens onto a lush garden, where sunlight doesn’t merely illuminate, but gently uplifts each layer of texture: rattan, wood, linen, brocade…
The low-placed bed features a headboard carved with stylized Cham motifs, paired with jute cushions, handwoven wool rugs, and matte-glazed ceramic vases. Together, they create a contemplative world where all the senses are softened. The adjoining private bathroom combines natural stone, dark wood, and soft amber lighting, offering an experience akin to stepping into a meditation chamber.
